For some reason I've always been fascinated by Dita Von Teese. I hadn't heard of her before the famous
Vogue shoot with then hubby Marilyn Manson where she wore a dark purple Vivienne Westwood wedding gown in a series of gorgeous, Gothic photos. Click the link to Vogue where her photo is number 5 in the slideshow.
She was so dramatic, classic and sexy. I think I also liked her because at the time all the Hollywood beauties were tan and blonde glamazons (not that I have anything against that look) and I am more of a porcelain princess like Dita.

Recently, Dita announced that she will be partnering with the German company Artdecco to launch her own makeup line. It's what you'd expect from Dita with rich colors (RED!) and a retro vibe with the packaging. An interesting piece of information in the press release is that Dita doesn't have a makeup artist and she does her own makeup everyday. She always looks flawless so hopefully her own products will help others with the retro, glamorous Old Hollywood look.
Here are a few items from the upcoming line. I'm loving the Lipstick and powder. I love the phrase "Beauty is Art" that is printed on the mirror of the powder compact.
