Let's talk sunscreen.
I have about 7 different facial sunscreens in my bathroom right now but no matter how many I buy I keep going back to the one I purchased from the doctor's office where I get my IPLs.
I go to the DERMAspa here in Denver which is part of the Asarch Center. This place is fantastic because the doctors' office is in the same place as the MediSpa and the nurses and doctors work on both sides. This is both a medical office (skin checks, cancer treatments, acne) as well as a cosmetic office (IPLS, Botox, peels). I love that I can go to one office for all of my appointments instead of having one here and one there.
They have their own product line called DERMAspaRX and so far I've really liked what I tried. I've been using the Sun Protection System Oil-Free SPF 45 for over a year now.
This creamy, oil-free, fast absorbing lotion feels fantastic, especially for such a high SPF. It contains both physical (Zinc Oxide 9.0%) and chemical (Octinoxate 7.5%) sunscreens for both UVA and UVB protection. This doesn't have a white cast to it in photos which is a major plus and since it absorbs completely it works really well under makeup. It's very moisturizing and is the perfect complement to all of my serums (Vitamin C, B5 and several Arcona products).
The other thing I love is that the bottle is pretty large so I don't feel that subliminal urge to apply only a small amount in order to conserve the product. It's only costs $28 and can be purchased online at the DERMAspaRX website.
