My main concerns about my eyes are fine lines and dark circles. In my case, both issues are caused by more than just aging. I have awful seasonal allergies which are a huge contributor to dark under eye circles. Sometimes an antihistamine can help but usually I need a little more help than that. Most of the fine lines I have are cause by sleeping on my side. I've been trying for years to train myself to sleep on my back but halfway through the night I go back to old reliable and wake up on my side.
I haven't been loving my most recent eye creams but I just read about one from Erno Laszlo that sounds like it would fight both of my issues. Here is the description I was given:
Firming eye care for all skin types
pHelitone Eye Treatment is an intensive therapy for the eye area. It features kojic acid to brighten skin around the eyes, vitamin C to reduce dark under eye circles and cucumber extract to soothe stressed skin. The result is noticeably younger-looking eyes.
Features and Benefits:
- Three natural lighteners, kojic acid, caffeine and magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate help decrease melanin production to brighten eyes.
- Mild beta hydroxy Acids, salicylic acid and lactic acid, gently resurface skin for more even texture.
- Concentrated cucumber extract, an anti-inflammatory, reduces puffiness and soothes stress.
- Antioxidant Vitamins C and E and essential fatty acids nourish parched skin.
I love an eye cream that is packed with antioxidants and caffeine and personally I like that some of the more irritating wrinkle fighters like retinol aren't in there. Retinol may be the gold standard when it comes to turning back the clock but I haven't had the best reactions to it in the past. I think I see a trip to the Nordstrom beauty department in my future!

ReplyDeleteHi Chris! I haven't had a chance to go in yet but I think that the Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus websites sometimes let you check to see if a nearby store has an item. Thanks for reading!
